Australian fashion retailer General Pants Co. raises $150,000 supporting Lighthouse through our national ‘Just Be Nice’ campaign.
As part of this unique campaign, the retail giant invited customers to donate $1 to Lighthouse Foundation with any purchase in-store and online. General Pants Co. pledged to add an additional $2 for every $1 customers gave. The campaign called on customers to forget being naughty during Christmas time and instead ‘Just Be Nice’ by making a donation that General Pants Co. would match twice.
After putting the call out to all General Pants Co. customers all over Australia, total donations reached almost $50,000. Along with the retailer’s contribution, the grand total of $150,000 will be donated to Lighthouse Foundation.
Celebrity Ambassadors, DJ Havana Brown and Elle Ferguson got behind the initiative, passionately lending their support to the campaign.
“Help change the direction of the lives of young people suffering and those with nowhere safe to live” said Elle.
General Pants Co. was proud to see customers get behind this initiative to help end youth homelessness. When it comes to engaging with community initiatives, General Pants Co. focuses its attention on not-for-profit partners that address the issues continuing to threaten the health, happiness and future of our country’s youth.
“We are deeply grateful to the General Pants Co. team around Australia for supporting Lighthouse’s work to end youth homelessness. Thanks to General Pants Co. and their customers, we can change the direction of the lives of young people who have suffered trauma, violence and abuse and give them hope for the future,” says Susan Barton AM, Founder, Lighthouse Foundation.
